Data Deletion

You have the right to delete your PrimeDocu account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how.
Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account:
- Open the PrimeDocu app (mobile or web).
- Sign in to your account.
- Go to Profile → Account details.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete account".
- Confirm the deletion by typing your email address.
- Tap "Permanently delete".
Your account and data will be deleted immediately. Confirmation will be sent to your registered email.
Option 2: Email Request
If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request to:
Email: support@primedocu.com
Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
Include the following information in your email:
- The email address registered with your PrimeDocu account.
- A statement that you wish to permanently delete your account and all data.
- Any account ID you may have (optional, but helps us locate your account faster).
We will respond within 5 business days to confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile (email, display name, avatar).
- All uploaded documents and their encrypted blobs.
- All AI credit balances and usage history.
- Document metadata (filenames, timestamps, tags).
- Encrypted recovery keys (if you set a recovery password).
- Active subscriptions (Stripe / RevenueCat) are cancelled.
- Saved signatures and form-fill data.
What May Be Retained
For legal, financial, or security reasons, we may retain:
- Transaction records — invoices and payment history for up to 7 years (tax / audit requirements).
- Anonymised analytics — aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
- Fraud-prevention records — if your account was flagged for abuse, basic identifiers may be retained.
- Legal holds — data subject to ongoing legal investigation will be preserved as required by law.
Subscription Cancellation
Deleting your account does NOT automatically refund active subscriptions. Refunds are at our sole discretion:
- Stripe subscriptions: Cancelled immediately; no refund for current billing period unless requested.
- Google Play / Apple subscriptions: Must be cancelled separately in your Play Store / App Store account.
- Credit packs: Unused credits are forfeited; no refund.
Re-creating an Account
After deletion, you may create a new account with the same email address. However, all previous data, documents, and credits will be gone. New accounts start fresh with the free tier.
