Store Documents with
Military-Grade Encryption —
Only You Hold the Key

Every document is encrypted on your device before it leaves. Our servers see only unreadable encrypted blobs. We literally cannot read your files — even if we wanted to.

What "end-to-end encrypted" actually means

Most cloud storage encrypts your files on the server. That means the company can read them. PrimeDocu is different.

Key generated on your device

When you create your account, PrimeDocu generates a unique master key on your device. It is stored in your device's secure enclave — iOS Keychain, Android Keystore, or Windows DPAPI. It never leaves your device.

Document encrypted before upload

Every document is encrypted locally using AES-256-GCM before it is uploaded. The cloud receives an opaque blob it cannot interpret. TLS 1.3 protects the data in transit as an additional layer.

Only you can decrypt

When you open a document, PrimeDocu fetches the encrypted blob and decrypts it on your device using your local key. Nobody else — including PrimeDocu staff — can perform this decryption.

Built for sensitive documents

Whether it's a passport copy or a signed NDA, PrimeDocu is designed for the documents you can't afford to expose.

AES-256-GCM encryption

The same standard used by governments and financial institutions — authenticated encryption that detects tampering in addition to preventing access.

Secure enclave key storage

Your key lives in iOS Keychain (hardware-backed Secure Enclave), Android Keystore (TEE/StrongBox), or Windows DPAPI — protected by the OS, not just software.

Legal & financial documents

Contracts, wills, tax returns, invoices, NDAs — store the documents you can't share with a standard cloud service.

Identity documents

Passport scans, driving licences, social security cards — keep copies safe and accessible without risking identity theft.

Medical records

Test results, prescriptions, referral letters — your health information stays private from cloud providers, insurers, and advertisers.

Recovery password

Set a recovery password to create an encrypted backup of your key. Lose your phone? Enter your password on a new device to restore access to all your documents.

Frequently asked questions

Can PrimeDocu employees read my documents?

No. Your documents are encrypted on your device before upload using AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is stored only on your device. Our servers hold only encrypted blobs that are mathematically impossible to decrypt without your key.

What happens if I lose my phone?

If you set a recovery password during setup, PrimeDocu stores an encrypted copy of your key (encrypted with your recovery password itself). Enter your recovery password on a new device to restore access. Without a recovery password, access cannot be restored — we recommend setting one.

Is it GDPR and CCPA compliant?

Yes. Because we cannot access your data, there is nothing for us to disclose. You can delete your account and all data at any time from inside the app. Our practices comply with GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California).

How much free encrypted storage is included?

The free plan includes 1 GB of encrypted cloud storage. Pro ($9.99/month) includes 5 GB; Premium ($19/month) includes 25 GB.

What if PrimeDocu's servers are hacked?

Attackers would only get encrypted blobs. Without your device and your key, they cannot decrypt anything. This is precisely what zero-knowledge encryption is designed for.
